Back to School!

Welcome to Mrs. Alday's 4th grade class!  The summer has flown by, and now it is time for a new school year!  I am looking forward to meeting all of my new students.  I know that we are going to have an amazing school year.  Students will be making new friends and learning new skills all while working in a positive learning environment.

Parents, please look for my first weekly newsletter which your child will receive on the first day of school.  If you could please sign the acknowledgement form attached to it that would be great.

Summer Time!

Way to go 4th graders! You are all now officially 5th graders! I'm so excited and proud of all of you and the progress that you have made.  It definitely was an awesome year. We had some amazing field trips like the Charlotte's Web play and the Desert Museum.  We had our Annual Talent Show with our very own Andrew performing. We had outstanding Character Students of the Month such as Aylin, Robert, Diana, Justin, Cristal, and Lyneah. To end it all, we had the best pool, eegee's, and pizza party! I will truly miss all of you and hope that you all come back to visit me and say "hi!"

Don't forget to keep those bright minds fresh this summer! Take some time to go to the library and get a new book.  Practice those multiplication and division facts. Show your 5th grade teachers what you are made of! :)

Hello all!

It has been a while since I've updated this blog, so I thought I would post some important information as reminders to everyone:

• "Sandwich Project Book Reports" are due this Friday, March 11th! They must be in no later than that date due to the fact that I need to have them graded all for report cards which will be handed out next week.
• Any missing and incomplete assignments must be turned in this Friday as well.  Students were given a list by me in class.  They are completing these assignments during free time in class and at home.
• This week, the 4th grade is conducting the second round of AIMS testing.  We are also working on CBM testing.  Make sure students are getting all the sleep they need and are eating well.
• Next week, we have Spring Recess on March 17 and 18. There will be no after school Wednesday the 16.  
• Reminder that I do assign homework nightly.  Please make sure that students are completing their homework as they will be receiving a grade for completing their homework under the "Responsibility" section of their report cards.
